Job Title: B2B Pricing Analyst - Business Solutions Location: Trinidad Expected Starting Period: Second Quarter 2019 Summary/Objective: The B2B PRICING ANALYST considers data from multiple sources and develop complex pricing models that reflect margins for pricing based on competitor, market, and customer data. Strong candidates should be highly analytical, demonstrate the capacity to work with complex data sets to deepen the understanding of the B2B base, design and implement strategies to improve the profitability of the existing base and gain market share as well as ensure the right co-existence of the B2B portfolio with B2C and the competitors to drive revenue growth. The candidate should have a proven ability to lead, challenge and influence key stakeholders at all levels within the organisation. It is imperative that he/she have the ability to prioritize and act autonomously at both at tactical and strategic level. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Collect and Analyse Pricing Data Assessing data from a variety of sources and use it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends. The candidate will use a number of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyse competitor pricing, assess market share and margins, and track customer engagement in order to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies for their company's offerings.
* Develop Forecasts and Models The candidate will play an important role in helping forecast revenue and market share. They use a variety of statistical modelling methods to prepare reports that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins and costs and how they will impact profitability and sales volume. These forecasts may also include information related to the market as a whole (B2C and competitors etc)
* Determine Pricing and Marketing Strategies In this role, the candidate will work closely with commercial, sales and marketing personnel to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies. The candidate must be able to work well cross functionally and partner with key business teams to evaluate, structure, execute and support key partnerships and commercial agreements. He/she may analyse data related to return on investment (ROI) for existing marketing and promotional programs, analyse customer response to marketing efforts, and determine more effective ways to reach customers and gain market share.
* Monitor Industry Trends The analyst should stay abreast of market trends within the industry as a whole. The candidate should recommend pricing strategies from the discovery of trends that they believe have potential to improve sales volume or profitability. He/she should also take advantage of untapped market segments and help the company gain market share in new avenues. He/she would be the main point of contact for current information about consumer habits/behavior and spend
* Develop Pricing Tools The candidate should develop pricing tools that will be used throughout the company to quickly respond to changing market needs or trends. These tools can include dynamic pricing that allows the company to quickly adjust prices to enhance sales volume and conversion rates, as well as tools that streamline the analysis process and provide more immediate information about competitor prices and promotions.
* Present Findings to Key Decision-Makers The candidate should present their findings to executives, marketing teams, and sales personnel through weekly or monthly meetings. This aspect of the role requires the pricing analysts to translate complex data into actionable strategies and techniques to drive sales and enhance marketing efforts. Pricing analysts may prepare both written reports and visual presentations to share their findings. The candidate must also be willing to undertake ad hoc analysis and special project work as required. Qualifications:
* Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Statistics
* Experience with database management and Microsoft Office programs.
* Knowledge of mass data manipulation
* Proven track record with 2 to 5 years related experience in similar industry.
* Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and objectively solve problems using sound judgment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with senior management professionals
* Ability to effectively handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines under pressure
