As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities – Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. – Partake in various department–wide initiatives – Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process – Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations – Provide monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting – Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors – Manage Ad–hoc projects as necessary – Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP – Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
– Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills – Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued – Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement – 3+ years of overall general accounting experience – Self–driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges – Strong time management skills preferred – Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing – BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred – Financial analysis experience – Well–founded grasp of bank reconciliations – Corporate Treasury experience – Practical knowledge of Credit Card Reconciliation – General familiarity with account reconciliation – Experience with cash applications – Quality experience with financial reporting – Adjusting Journal Entries experience desired – Proven knowledge of Cash Activity – Command of month end closings – Proficient in ERP systems – Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
