Due to impressive growth my client is looking to hire a Financial Controller into his team to act a strong number 2 and help run the finance function.
Client Details
My client is a fast-growth business that has recently made several acquisitions and is planning on continuing this growth in 2017. They are a medium sized business and are nationwide, although have a minor international presence.
They offer business services and are a hugely fast-paced industry - the successful candidate will be involved with business partnering with senior stakeholders, operations and reporting on the numbers. This role also offers exposure to the Finance Director and senior management as well as progression within the business.
Description
The role will involve but not be limited to;
To ensure that a high level, fit for purpose set of financial controls are in place to match both business controls set by the business as well as aligned to business strategy.
To liaise with external advisers on the preparation of statutory financial information working within time-lines presented to and agreed by the board.
To lead and management the preparation of annual statutory Accounts.
To lead on the financial annual budgeting process from provision of decision making information through to the submission and tracking of plans.
To prepare monthly accounts (P+L and balance sheet) on an agreed basis and in time for review at Board.
To develop the forecasting models to enable the Board to track objectives from short to long term.
To propose, implement and review company internal controls to ensure that they are aligned to both business values and objectives and consider controls to govern the financial of the business.
To act as the lead point of liaison between the finance departments and operational managers to help resolve queries and to propose workable solutions to business issues.
To effectively manage the finance team beneath this role - including setting KPIS, appraisals and develop their skill-set.
Profile
The success full candidate will be;
- 3-5 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong understanding of accounting standards
- Ability to interpret and prepare financial.
- Strong Microsoft office skills - particularly on Excel.
- Team player
- Timetable, process and time management driven.
Job Offer
Salary is between £55,000 and £60,000 (+ additional benefits)
