Job Description

ECO2LIBRIUM (ECO2), is a B Corp certified social enterprise based in Kakamega County in Western Kenya. The Company does apply business solutions to solve social, economic and environmental problems, by engaging primarily in energy and forestry related enterprises.

Qualifications and Requirements.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, business or related field.
  • CPA 4 and above.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a busy business environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
  • Have good knowledge of QuickBooks and ultimately its use.
  • Awareness of business trends.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Excellent accounting software user.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
  • Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision.


Duties and Responsibilities.

  1. Preparation of budgets, projections, monthly and annual reports.
  2. Filing of all statutory obligation, including VAT.
  3. Assisting auditors during annual audit.
  4. Implementation of internal controls.
  5. Advising management on all financial matters.
  6. Basic bookkeeping - accounting for all monies both income and expenditure by ensuring proper documentation to support each transaction.
  7. Compilation of weekly financial reports.
  8. Maintaining proper banking records.
  9. Any other duties as will be assigned by management.
