Acorn Finance is currently looking for a Project Assistant Accountant to join the project team at a well-known manufacturing organisation on the outskirts of Telford.
The position will play a pivotal role in the development of information for various projects that the engineering team are initiating.
This role offers a significant salary along with the prospect of working for a renowned organisation. This role will give you significant exposure to the commercial side of finance as you get to work on some exciting plans.
Please note that this position is based in the projects & engineering team instead of the finance department.
What the role will involve:
- Working with the programme managers & development teams to ensure that all information
is acquired and that all reporting requirements are fulfilled.
- Completing frequent analysis of various projects.
- Reviewing and analysing capital expenditure.
- Assisting in the preparation of month end reporting.
- Completing journal entries & reconciliations.
- Assisting in the annual audit processes.
- Reviewing and appraising capital investment decisions.
- Acting as the point person for the SAP system within the engineering/project function.
The ideal candidate:
- AAT Qualified.
- Progress made towards ACCA/CIMA.
- Minimum 18 months experience in accounts.
- Experience in fixed asset/CAPEX reporting – Desirable.
- Experience using SAP.
- Experienced in month end reporting.
