Role Summary: The Senior Finance Manager for monthly financial reporting is a senior member of the Aviation Controllership team. This role is responsible for global process design, accounting operations and financial planning and analysis across Aviation for the monthly financial reporting initiative. This role will also collaborate with other project team members to drive process standardization and simplification, performance optimization, IT automation, control enhancement, and personnel training.
Essential Responsibilities: Key Objectives:
  • Improve visibility to financial results within a quarter, strengthening the linkage between operational execution and financial performance to drive proactive business actions.
  • Establish financial processes to measure and report complete, accurate and relevant monthly financial information at a target completion date of LCD+7 business days.
  • Simplify Aviations financial processes to reduce workload throughout the quarter and improve forecasting accuracy.
Responsibilities:

  • Global process ownership for Aviation Controllership, accounting operations and financial planning and analysis related to the monthly financial reporting initiative
  • Responsible for overall design and wing–to–wing process standardization, simplification, and optimization across accounting and FP&A, including development of global standards, operating procedures, and automation
  • Communication of best practices
    Development of finance short–term and long–term goals to execute on projects, delivering communication strategy to Aviation finance teams, and participating in stand–up meetings with Finance Executive team.
  • Lead & execute standardization and simplification projects that deliver speed, quality, and cost benefits
  • Collaboration with Aviation Controllership, FP&A, Finance IT, and Division Finance at a regional & global level.
  • Partner with Aviation Finance to ensure open lines of communication related to project progression

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Finance
