We're looking for a skilled, full–time Senior Accountant to join a budding company in the Retail – Food Store industry in the Irving, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is based in Irving, Texas with a company in the Retail – Food Store field. Responsibilities – Produce error–free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP – Engage in various department–wide initiatives – Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary – Prepare monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting – Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations – Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process – Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. – Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors – Administer Ad–hoc projects as necessary Interested candidates should email their resume to Cedric Owens at [Click Here to Email Your Resum?] .
– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred – Experience in SOX control execution/documentation – Vow to meet business deadlines – 3–5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience – High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills – Skilled at time management – Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required – Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment – Skilled with ERP systems – Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued – Self–driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges – Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis – Excellent verbal, written, and social skills – Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
