Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing Accounts Payable to ensure timely review and accurate invoice matching to purchase order.? Duties include but are not limited to compiling amounts owed by Strike to vendors and?suppliers by tying out statements,?preparing payments by gathering purchase orders and other needed documentation. ? Interfacing with vendors to ensure accuracy of invoices.? The Accounts Payable Specialist will verify coded invoices to the appropriate general ledger account and will assist the AP Team with month–end close.?


Primary Job Function:
  • Invoice receiving done timely and accurate with our matching process ? to the purchase order
  • Compile amounts owed by the company to vendors, suppliers, or other organizations/individuals and ensuring vendor statements are tied out. ?
  • Review coding of expenses to the appropriate general ledger account based on generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Gather purchase orders, and other documentation to prepare payments.
  • Interface with vendors to ensure accuracy of invoices, supporting documentation, and financial reporting.
  • Interface with employees to ensure guidance for the field
  • Understanding sales tax
  • 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to utilize basic mathematical concepts (add, subtract, multiple, percentages, etc.).
  • Exercise sound judgment, be well organized, and have good oral and written communications skills.
  • Accuracy, timeliness, problem–solving skills, and ability to work effectively with vendors, employees and managers. ?
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Utilizes organizational skills with good attention to detail and emphasis on quality.
  • Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel and vendors.
  • Works under immediate supervision
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to sit, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms to grasp.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. ?
