A leading marketing business in the Huntingdon market are in need of a Financial Accountant to continue to growth and development of the business. Within this role the Financial Accountant will play a business partnering role, providing financial commentary and analysis to drive business decisions. You will also have ownership over the budget, forecasting and month-end processes.

Description
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:
- Managing the monthly reporting process and controls, ensuring the production of timely, accurate financial information and analysis to the non-finance arms of the business
- Proactively identify opportunities to develop and improve existing processes, project manage and drive process to successful implementation.
- The management of the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Producing the month end management accounts as well as assisting with the year end processes
- Building strong relationships with external audit team to complete Group and local audits to tight deadlines
- Ensuring appropriate financial controls and processes are in place to ensure accurate and timely production of financial information and ensure the reduction of financial risk
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects and provide support to Director of Finance
Profile
The successful candidate for the Financial Accountant will be:
- Part-Qualified ACCA or CIMA
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, analytical skills
- Strong work ethic
- Advanced Excel skills and broad systems exposure
- Experience in supporting improvements and efficiency in processes and controls as an advantage
