Start your career with Bank of Singapore as a Business Analyst in the Investment Management team! !

Reporting to the Head of Investment Management, you will be responsible for supporting senior management in formulating our bank's strategy, tracking progress of strategic initiatives, monitoring market and competitive intelligence for the organization and working with people across the bank to develop and implement recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Growth strategy: Assess strategic growth priorities across the businesses for acceleration. Collaborate with senior executives across all BUs and key stakeholders to develop long term strategic direction and growth strategy
  • Strategic execution: Ensure respective BUs rollout and implement the recommended strategic initiatives on time; manage and coordinate the Bank-wide Operating Plan; Support in any rollout of key strategic initiatives as provided through the CEO office
  • Strategic planning: Participate in strategic planning, including the evaluation of strategic priorities and financial viability, and assist in preparing financial projections
  • Market intelligence: Participate in analyses on key industry trends and dynamics (technology, competitors, consumers, regulatory, etc.), and develop insights on the economic impact on our businesses
  • Business reviews: Assist with regular business reviews (covering strategic and financials); prepare key updates and analysis; provide recommendations/observations for discussions in a clear data visualization manner


Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of solid experience in a strategy implementation role in financial services; preference will be for candidates with understanding of business and strong project management skills, and/or prior experience in Business Finance/MIS (including budgeting and forecasting) within the banking industry
  • Self-starter and ability to own projects from initial question to development to rollout
  • Flexibility to adapt in our work environment, moving quickly and handling changing priorities
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with strong planning and process management skills
  • Takes initiative in streamlining process and driving automation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability and confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders / business leaders including conflict management
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance, and hands-on at work
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with a practical, results-oriented approach
  • Innovative and open to challenges
  • Ability to organize people and processes, and to lead groups toward a single goal
  • Bachelor's Degree (Accountancy/Finance/Business)
  • CPA/CFA and knowledge in Qlikview, Python, VBA and MS Access is preferred
