Title: Accounts Clerk
Reports to: Accounts Supervisor
Job Profile:
The Accounts Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Accounts Clerk must comply with established policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Perform the day to day processing of financial transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
* Maintain an up-to-date billing system
* Follow up on collection and allocation of payments
* Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
* Reconciliation of accounts
* Monitoring customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
* Maintain accounts receivable customer files
* Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc
* Investigate and resolve customer queries
* Process adjustments
* Organizing a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
* Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
* Processing Monthly & Fortnightly Payroll
* Any other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:
* A minimum of 5 GCE O'Levels / CXC /CAPEpasses (inclusive of Mathematics and English)
* Knowledge of accounts receivable
* Knowledge of office administration and procedures
* Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
* Proficient in relevant computer applications
* 2-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience
* 2-3 years Payroll Experience, an asset
