Revenue Accountant

To ensure that the company's revenue is properly captured & the general ledger is reconciled within the guidelines provided. This will be achieved by liaising with the relevant departments & giving timely reports.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Confirming revenue is captured correctly on a daily basis.
2. Confirmation of key accounts invoices and signing of before dispatch of goods
3. Management of key accounts/credit customers balances daily
4. Dispatching customer statements & updating SDM on the status weekly or when need arises
5. Receiving money into customer accounts daily on Navision & DMS
6. Related party transactions reconciliations
7. Debtors reconciliations
8. Debtors reconciliations
9. Debtors accounts control to ensure they are within limits
10. Maintaining a good filing system for the documents
11. Daily z-reports reconciliations
12. Reconciliation of all incomes including payments from EABL for performance
13. Maintaining the general ledger
14. Relieving other accountants & any other duty allocated from time to time

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Reconciled customer list & statements
• Reconciled revenue
• Timely collection of debts by Key Accounts team (through issue of statements on time)
• Reconciled output tax on the z-reports
• 100% of all cash and cheques from the sales team received, recorded & banked daily
• Reconciled bank accounts
• Maintains an up to date index branch daily cash and cheques received register
• Good filing system

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Must be a CPA (K), degree is an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Computer literate
• Good analytical skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Ability to meet deadlines
