This is a new role, reflecting the growth of the their Digital business, reporting to the newly appointed Digital Finance Director.

Requiring strong people and stakeholder management skills along with best practice reporting experience, the position offers the right candidate the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the quality and effectiveness of the reporting and decision making within a business undergoing significant transformation.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Complete the month end revenue and variable costs postings and relevant reconciliations.

  • Analyse the financial and commercial results with respect to performance against gross margin budget/forecasts

  • Assist in the development of new product and initiative pricing and margin models.

  • Analyse operational performance data in a financial context, and prepare draft Board reporting to highlight the commercial reasons behind reporting variances.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining effective team work between the financial reporting team and operational departments in order to raise profile of Finance, and ensure they become a key partner to the business

  • Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance

  • Ensure that all relevant information is communicated speedily and accurately in a way that ensures that the information is received and easily understood

  • Ad-hoc work as required to support the performance of the business

Profile

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Qualified CIMA or part qualified on track to complete within 18 months.

  • Excellent academic record

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Prior use of Netsuite would be an advantage

  • Strong commercial awareness combined with robust numerical and analytical skills

  • Experience in tech, media or digital sectors

  • Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to use initiative, anticipate issues and develop practical solutions in a collaborative manner

  • Be committed and flexible in your approach to work and able to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise work

  • Passionate about providing support to the business; drive and enthusiasm to use management reporting to identify and deliver financial or operational improvements
