The role leads the Head Office Finance function in being responsible for the preparation and consolidation of all group reporting. They drive the development of all group finance policies and procedures whilst ensuring compliance across all group companies.

Description

The Head of Finance will be responsible for:

• Provide oversight to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of monthly management information, budgets and forecasts, tax submissions and annual statutory accounts (as required), which are prepared by the Divisional Finance Managers

• Preparation of the Group management and statutory accounts

• Consolidation of Group accounts with comparisons against the business plan

• Prepare the consolidated weekly cash forecasts / funding requirements for submission to the Group Finance Director for approval, ensuring accuracy and best use of the funding resources

• Ensure accounting across all divisions/group is in line with the Group accounting policies outlined in the finance manual

• Police the financial control procedures outlined by the Operating Framework and Finance Manual across all group companies

• Prepare the monthly Finance meeting agenda and meeting arrangements

• Liaising with the external Auditors in the finalising of the annual accounts for both Head Office and Group by ensuring the timely availability of all necessary information and reconciliations

• Administrate the monthly payroll for the entire group

• Ensuring the Group VAT return is done on a timely basis to ensure efficient receipt of any cash due

• Ad hoc analysis to support future performance

Profile

The successful Head of Finance will:

• Qualified Accountant status - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Have previous experience in a similar level role within a finance team OR looking for a first move into Industry
• Experience of managing and developing a team of staff
• Knowledge of an ERP system an advantage
• Have the ability to build relationship with senior stakeholders and the confidence to be able to challenge key decisions
• Be hardworking, ambitious and motivated to learn and progress
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Be forward thinking and innovative

Job Offer

Salary range from £35,000 - £40,000 plus a very generous benefits package
