Financial Controller

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a tech start-up business based in central London.

Client Details

My client is based in central London and utilises innovative UI technology to create the next generation of content/media presentation. This role would be helping support the business to build out a finance function and support their ambitious growth plans.

Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following:

 Production of monthly, quarterly and year end reports & management accounts

 Preparation of cash flow forecasts

 Preparation of statutory accounts

 Liaison with reporting accountants/tax advisors

 Liaison with HMRC and other tax authorities

 Management of P&L and Balance Sheet

 Cost control & variance analysis

 Management of revenue recognition

 Sales and purchase ledger input

 Debtor/creditor control

 Setting up/authorisation of multi-currency payments & cash flow management

 Inventory accounting with primary manufacturer

 Data protection compliance

 Payroll & pension management

Profile

The successful Financial Controller will have the following:

• Professional finance qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Strong academic background
• Experience in a similar role highly desirable
• Experience producing management accounts/statutory accounts highly desirable
• Experience within new media and internet sector desirable
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
