Hotel Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant Our client is a leading Multinational Leisure/Hotel Group with their HQ in Dublin City Centre. With growing operations across Europe they now require an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team. This position suits an ambitious part qualified accountant interested in processing to FC level in the medium term. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for; Assisting in the Productions of Monthly Management Accounts for 15 entities Daily Cash flow and Bank Reconciliations Produce accurate and timely returns to Revenue Posting of Accruals & Prepayments Posting all monthly Journals (Salary, VAT, Payroll) Reconcile I/C Movement Review and commentary on Monthly results Balance Sheet reconciliations Review Management accounts with Senior Management Accountant Produce first quarter accounts with Hotel finance team for review with financial controller Review accounts procedures, internal controls and make recommendations Introduce groups reporting structure and culture to new properties Liaised with receivers, Banks and auditors. Requirements Part Qualified Accountant or qualified accounting technician ACCA/CIMA/IATI Self starter interested in pursuing a career in accounting to FC level. Good attention to detail & strong Analytical skills Excellent interpersonal & communication skills Background in Hospitality, retail or Leisure sector
