Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

 

Job Description

• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee the operations of the treasury department
• Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
• Use financing instruments to mitigate financial risks related to the interests rates on the company's borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
• Maintain banking relationships
• Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure
• Recommend appropriate dividend issuances, based on historical dividend patterns and expected cash flows
• Manage the preparation of the company's budget
• Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
• Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction

 

Qualification and Requirements

• A minimum of a First degree in Accounting + Master's in Finance or a qualified Accountant 
• At least 7 years' experience, 3 of which must have been in similar position
• Sound knowledge of applicable financial regulations and statutory requirements
• Ability to supervise the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
• Ability to interpret financial statements and advice the CEO on investment options
• Ability to prepare budgets and plan spending
• Ability to introduce and manage change in the face of resistance
• Ability to design and implement an effective credit control policy
• Must be a strategic thinker and innovative at solving problems
• Sound knowledge of Tally Accounting Software and detail oriented
• Proven integrity, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Females are preferred for this position
• At least 35 years and above
