About the team
Welcome to the Financial Instruments Centre of Excellence (CoE) team. Sitting under Assurance & Advisory (A&A), we work with Deloitte's Assurance practice to provide services in audit, accounting and advisory. No two days are the same as our talented specialists support engagement teams and diverse clients - from Australia's largest publicly-owned companies to private businesses and the three tiers of government!

What will your typical day look like?

As a Financial Instrument specialist, get involved in automation and workflow initiatives and collaborate with CoE and Audit Transformation leaders (nationally and internationally). You can also expect to:
  • Measure the fair value of Financial Instruments
  • Perform accounting for Financial Instruments (I.e. Derivatives, Hedge Accounting, Classification & Measurement, Disclosures)
Essentially, your work will support CoE in delivering its core services and shape Deloitte's Audit Transformation strategy. Pretty meaningful, right?

As our team experiences rapid growth, we are looking for talented candidates from Manager to Senior Manager levels.
You are someone with:
  • CA or CPA qualification or equivalent and looking towards CFA studies.
  • Prior Audit experience
  • Practical Experience in valuing complex financial instruments
  • Knowledge of AASB 9, AASB 7 and AASB 13.
