Elevation Accountancy and Finance are currently recruiting for a world leading manufacturing firm in their Head Office in Huddersfield. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.

As the Assistant Accountant, your core purpose will be to prepare weekly/monthly management information, prepare statutory returns and company budgets.

Reporting to the Finance Controller, your main duties will include but not be limited to;

•Prepare monthly management accounts including accruals, pre-payments and fixed asset management

•Provide monthly reporting with analysis to budget holders

•Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

•Prepare annual statutory accounts and tax pack

•Prepare VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE and statistical returns

•Prepare information for annual audit

•Monthly commentary and variance analysis

•Budget planning

•Preparation of bank and cash reconciliations

•Daily postings completed to a timely manner

•Ad-hoc duties to support the team and Finance Controller

The ideal candidate will have;

•Completed or studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA

•Experience as a Management Accountant within the manufacturing sector

•Confident user of all Microsoft programmes

•Strong attention to detail with an ambitious drive to learn
