Assistant Accountant

Toyota are currently offering a new opportunity as an Assistant Accountant to join our business based out of our Edgware dealership.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a very important role in assisting the Market Area Accountant in ensuring Jemca’s company policies are adhered to. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks therefore having great organisational skills, an excellent eye for detail, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure is all paramount to this role.

This role will be best suited for an experienced Assistant Accountant or an Accounts professional who is studying ACCA or AAT. Full training and development will be provided within the position.

What we need

• Invoice match and direct invoice processing on P2P system and processing of Holdings transactions onto Sage: supplier invoices, Intercompany transactions and employee expenses
• Reconciling and paying of Creditors and dealing with supplier queries
• Processing of cash management entries, bank reconciliation
• Processing of month end journals
• Assist Group accountant with Holdings month end accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Dealing with ad-hoc queries
• Assisting in collating information for P11D, submission to our external consultants
• Collating information and submission for PSA
• Managing the process of three payrolls in coordination with our external payroll providers to ensure that our staff are paid accurately in line with: uploading variable submissions, HMRC adjustments Childcare Vouchers/Private Healthcare
• Downloading of Payroll reports, Pension joiners and Pension payment file
• Statutory payments – HMRC/CSA/Ben, court orders
• Processing of payroll journals
• 100% audit check of payroll

Your Skills

• Have previous experience in cash and banking reconciliation
• Have experience working as an Assistant Accountant or within an accounts/finance department
• Have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
• Great communication skills
• Produce a high degree of customer service and have excellent organisational skills
• Keen eye for detail
