About the role The purpose of this role is to support the Senior Business Analyst (Non-product) in delivering robust financial information and acting as a key business partner to budget holders, supporting on cost analysis and challenging where necessary to ensure that spend is adding the most value to the business, holding managers accountable for performance against plan. This includes monthly accounting, reporting and forecasting for this year and the next. In this role your key responsibilities will include: Month end accounting close & management accounts production including Balance sheet reconciliations Variance analysis and commentary Regular reporting for the business Re-forecasting of current year to go Compilation of AOP for the following year Progressing the Non-product finance area through smarter ways of working, improvements to processes and looking for opportunities to add value. Providing advice and coaching to business customers: -Must achieve credibility with business customers-Provide challenge where decisions could adversely affect the bottom line -Assist SBA in delivering training to managers to aid financial awareness and decision making -Make performance vs plan/fcst visible for managers -Manage customers around planning and forecasting ensuring that inputs are provided on time About you To drive success in this role the essential requirements you should demonstrate are: Ability to forge strong relationships with commercial teams ·Strong management accounting skills ·Able to provide clear and accurate commercial decision making supportCoaching skills Ideally, you should also have: Experience in a FMCGRetail experience (not essential) Education and Experience: Educated to degree levelStudying towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA / ACA / ACCA)Experience of management accountingExperience of commercial finance work (not essential) About Hallmark Here at Hallmark, we play a unique role in understanding and expressing friendship, family and love—and we've done it for more than 100 years.
