I am partnering with a high growth SME based in Marlow who have an aggressive growth strategy to expand via acquisition. The business is going through a unique period and need a large amount of support within their commercial finance function.
Client Details
Michael Page are partnering with a high growth SME that provide a niche service/product, they have a need for a Commercial Accountant - M&A to join the business to provide commercial support to the M&A over the next 3 years. The business will be doubling their turnover and headcount over the next 3 years and this role will provide extensive analysis on which departments will grow. This role will report into the CFO and will sit alongside the finance manager within the business.
Description
The commercial accountant will be responsible for all commercial finance across the business. You will provide commercial analyses for all the potential acquisitions to ensure valuations are accurate and will be presenting findings to the CFO. You will also help integrate the accounts for all newly acquired businesses.
You will have some management accounting responsibilities including analysing sections of the business and presenting findings to non-finance stakeholders. You will analysing the accounting processes and ensure they are officiant and up to date, if not you will help implement new processes. You will manage projects outside of core finance and work with the business systems to improve when necessary.
Profile
The successful candidate will be qualified or equivalent, have a strong commercial finance background but also be able to step in on the technical accounting when needed. You will ideally have experience in Mergers & Acquisitions and will be looking to progress through the business as it grows.
