We are currently seeking a full–time associate with financial statement preparation and/or audit experience to join our qualified team of professionals. Candidate should enjoy challenging work, have the desire to learn and grow with our firm, and have the ability to think critically and see the big picture. Applicants must have at least 1 year of applicable experience. We are a small firm, so the position may also include some tax preparation.

Ullmann & Company, P.C. is a well–rounded, local public accounting firm located in the Biltmore area of Phoenix that has served the Valley for over 25 years. Our staff members enjoy a better work–life balance than at many public accounting firms due to the firm?s focus on complex and specialized industry work that provides a more balanced workflow throughout the year. We specialize in consulting and structuring complex transactions and also perform financial reporting services from compilations to audits. We serve closely held businesses in many industries including service, medical, professional, manufacturing, and retail. We provide specialty services to privately–held public utilities (water and sewer) and also assist clients with international concerns relating to U.S. tax compliance. The travel requirement for this accounting/audit position is less than 5% per year.

  • Authorized to work in the United States
? Responsibilities
  • Preparation of GAAP, cash, and income tax basis financial statements
  • Perform analytical review and testing of documents to support reviews and audits of financial statements
  • Plan and perform agreed–upon procedures engagements
  • Review basic client accounting and operating procedures to provide recommendations
  • Perform some limited basic bookkeeping services
  • Individual and business tax preparation services, as needed
  • Prepare all work in compliance with firm?s policies and procedures
Education and experience – you may have many or all of the following:
  • Bachelor?s degree in accounting or related field (or near completion)
  • Working toward or has obtained CPA certificate
  • 1 or more years of accounting or auditing experience in a public accounting firm
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and Lacerte a plus
