Trainee Accountant / Hertford / £21,000-23,000 per annum

Job Title: Trainee Accountant
Salary: £21,000-23,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Hertford
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm

An excellent opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join a successful financial organisation to service their valued clients and develop their skillset.

The Role:

• Working closely with contractors to support their payroll processes
• Managing your own portfolio of 100-150 clients
• Preparing accounts
• Liaising with HMRC
• Offer bespoke accounting advice
• Respond to client queries in a timely manner
• Manage client relationships and develop strong rapport
• Work as a team to achieve agreed quality of service
• Undertake other duties as directed by your line manager

Skills/Experience Required:

• Previous accounts based experience
• Experience using one of the following: Xero, FreeAgent or Quickbooks
• AAT qualified or currently studying towards this
• Confident, proactive individual
• Solid experience with MS Office, including Excel & Word
