Finance Business Partner - National Legal Not-for-profit

As the Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for the financial Management of a region.

The organisation are a specialised legal advisory charity. In 2015 it was recorded that they impacted the lives of 5 million people by giving them access to free legal representation. To date they have turned over 1 billion pounds over the course of the last couple of years, winning bids and tenders of around 20-50 million pounds which have enabled them to invest generously into their charitable expenditure.

Description

Business Partnering:

Provide the budget holder with information, including insights into performance metrics, on opportunities for improving value for money and on the implications of their finance decisions.

Provide strategic input to required financial business analysis activities including new projects and funding initiatives to support the decision making processes.

Provide training and guidance to budget holders on business management responsibilities to help improve their skills.

Design and deliver appropriate developments in business management processes as part of a continual improvement program

Management Reporting:

Support budget holders in setting their annual budget within the agreed timescales through challenge, advice and analysis, where necessary.

Support budget holders with preparing their annual business plans, within agreed deadlines, ensuring alignment between budgets and plans.

Review actual and forecast results against budget, obtaining and recording variance explanations from budget holders, identifying material financial issues and mitigating actions and communicating them to relevant stakeholders, where appropriate.

Produce management accounts for consolidation within the agreed timescales, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy are achieved.

Profile

Experience Required:

Bid or tender processing management reporting experience

Costing for new initiatives

Strong business partnering and reporting skills

OR

Regional Senior Management accounting experience within a large charity
