A progressive and friendly, family-owned company based just outside Hull (in the Cottingham area). The vacancy in their finace team presents a great opportunity for a candidate that has perhaps recently completed their AAT or is in the early stages of CIMA/ACCA. The position offers the chance for you to step up and take ownership of your own part of the business. This allows you to develop your skills and experience through greater exposure to the whole finance function of a business.

- Daily balances - Posting of bank statements to Sage, Production of daily cash flow forecasts on Excel, bank summary and daily occupancy levels. Reports are all sent to the Directors by 9.15am each morning.

- Checking purchase invoices to budgets on a weekly basis - Purchase ledger processing - payments via BACS each month

- 2/4 weekly invoice runs for residents and councils

- Debt chasing/statements for residents and councils

- Reconcile council accounts via excel to pinpoint outstanding debts and discrepancies

- Ensure we have signed contracts for all current/new residents

- Complete weekly/monthly payroll via Coolblue and Sage.

- Monthly bank reconciliations

- Liaise with home managers on any queries for residents or payroll

- Answering the telephone and dealing with customer/supplier queries

- Prepare monthly accounts to TB and Management Accounts by the 12th of every month.

- Projects and reports as requested by your line manager or director of the company

- General administrative and ad hock tasks as the role demands

If you have experience with most of the responsibilities listed above then that will be advantageous - however training will be provided.
Experience with Sage 50 and Sage Payroll will be useful aswell.
Most importantly, you must have the desire to succeed and be motivated to develop in the role. This role will only be appropriate for those who can use their own initiative and will be committed to working hard.
