An experienced Assistant Accountant is required for a varied, standalone role with a small manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Doncaster

The Business is part of a large Group and this role is to be based at their site in Thorne.

Applicants will ideally be Sage proficient and used to working alone and reporting to a remotely based Parent Company.

The hours are negotiable as the role can be considered on either a full or part time basis.

Duties will include

Taking responsibility for all aspects of the Sales Ledger from invoicing and tacking costs to banking and allocating payments.

Maintaining purchase ledger from matching up invoices, to paying UK and overseas suppliers.

Keeping a check on costs and updating cost related spreadsheets.

Monitoring Cap-ex applications.

Maintaining the fixed asset register

Maintaining the cashbook and online bank account

Preparing journals

Assisting with preparing the Management accounts pack

Completing monthly returns to HMRC for imports

Collating the hours worked by factory staff before passing to a centralised payroll team for processing

Completing VAT returns

Other ad hoc duties from assisting with HR files, ordering and recording H & S equipment, recording of Company Vehicles such as MOT, Services due etc
