Financial Accountant

Your new company Our client, a thriving industrial company in Mayo, is seeking to appoint a commercially focused financial accountant to lead the on-site finance function. This role will report directly to senior management and will play a part in driving the direction of the company. Your new role In your new role you will be required to oversee the finance function with duties including group monthly, yearly and P&L balance sheets, statutory returns, audit preparation, maintaining fixed asset register, budgeting and forecasting. You will be expected to support the payroll and accounts payable/receivable functions. The role will also require you to identify and deliver savings through continually improving business processes and controls across the Group. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will be someone trained in practice but with a number of years in an industry role. You must be ACA/ACCA qualified with good working knowledge of IT systems and accounts packages including Excel and Quickbooks. Candidates with an enthusiastic nature, commercially focused mindset and forward thinking approach will do well in this role. This role has a high visibility with senior management and you will be collaborating with numerous business units regularly.
