Accounts Manager Job Purpose: To assist the head of finance in overseeing the delivery of day to day accounting duties in an accurate, timely, professional and confidential manner. Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Assist the Head of Finance, as and when required • General accounting duties • Cashflow forecasting, prepared on weekly basis • Month end & year end procedures: preparations, analysis, journals etc. • Balance sheet reconciliations • Warranty and Contract reporting • Oversee preparation of weekly accounts • Prepare and issue monthly management accounts • Prepare monthly Volvo reports & annual business plans • Budget preparation • Bank authorisations • Payroll (checking weekly payroll, compiling monthly payroll) • Prepare, reconcile & authorise statutory return data (VAT, CT1, P30s, P35s, Pension Returns, Diesel ROM1 returns) • Audit preparations • Accounts payable supervision • Generation of ad-hoc reports as and when required • Participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company • Undertake any other duties or activities as required Skills Profile: • Qualified Financial or Management Accountant with a recognised accounting qualification • 5+ years relevant experience • Supervisory/people development experience • Payroll processing experience (experience using Micropay desirable) • Excellent communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under challenging time constraints • Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks • Competent IT Skills (including Excel, Intermediate level or above)
