Senior Financial Controller

Vickerstock is working with a fast growing progressive company who seek to appoint a commercially aware hands on Financial Accountant. The successful individual will report to and work closely with the Group Finance Director. This is an exciting challenge for a commercially focussed accountant. You will be responsible for financial reporting and planning, improving current processes and delivering timely and accurate financial reports to the CEO. With a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience, you will possess a sound knowledge of accountancy standards and practices. This role is ideally suited for someone seeking to develop their finance skills and move their career to the next level. This is a new and exciting role that will be split between financial reporting and analysis. You should be able to demonstrate capability in the following tasks Develop strong and effective financial controls focused on improving business efficiency Producing accurate management and statutory accounts to the Board of Directors The production of monthly management accounts, including all associated administration. This will involve securing complete financial records, all accounting entries, and supervising journal and ledger maintenance Liaise with internal and external bodies; to include statutory reporting such as VAT returns, Relevant Contracts Tax, Payroll and other legal obligations required by the Revenue Commissioners as well as liaison with the bank for local treasury management Maintain appropriate financial and administrative systems and procedures necessary to ensure that all financial and administrative information needs are efficiently and effectively met Undertake ad hoc financial and administrative projects under the direction of the CEO as and when required Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations throughout the Finance & Administration function Undertake any other reasonable duties as required on a project by project basis Deliver an enhanced level of service, whilst working on the day-to-day problems and issues associated with the effective operations of busy finance and administration offices Allocating the quality time necessary to provide leadership and management for staff whilst fulfilling the day-to-day financial and administrative responsibilities Senior Financial Controller Essential Criteria Possess an accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with a min. of 2 years PQE 2/3 Year Post Grad Experience in an Accountant role Strong reporting/analysing skills Construction Experience Advanced Excel skills Experience working with a variety of environments Senior Financial Controller Desirable: Knowledge of construction Experience of Sage 50 and Sage Construct accounting packages Full clean driving licence Our Client will offer an attractive salary and provide a wide selection of lifestyle offers, development and learning programmes, services and support designed to help you manage and balance your work/life priorities.
