iMultiply are delighted to be engaged on the exciting opportunity of Bookkeeper for a unique and thriving business based in West Lothian. The role is offering a salary of £21,000 - £24,000 per annum including additional benefits.

The Company

The company have a unique business model and are operating within the healthcare industry. They are very well-established and are now experiencing another phase of growth. This brings with it further demands on the finance team - therefore they are looking to bring an individual onboard who is looking for an opportunity to be a part this exciting journey.

The Role

The role will report directly to the Finance Manager, however, will be required to work autonomously for large parts of the role. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of bookkeeping, as well as servicing the needs of the business' client base. The role will require the successful individual to be able to make an immediate impact and support the rest of the finance team at a busy time.

On Offer

The role of Bookkeeper will offer a salary of £21,000 - £24,000 as well as a profit related bonus scheme. Moreover, the role will offer FLEXIBLE WORKING hours and the office has parking on site.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
  • Purchase and sales ledger invoicing, including expenses
  • Preparing, setting up and submitting BACs payments and remittance advice notes
  • Preparing and submitting partial exemption and standard VAT returns
  • Month end duties, including all journals, accruals, prepayments etc.
  • Submitting year end accounts and handling all audit queries
  • Analysing and improving processes and procedures
  • Assisting in the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
  • All other ad hoc finance related duties

To be considered for this you must:
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar finance role
  • Have experience of taking accounts to trial balance stage
  • Have experience of operating Sage accounting software (desirable not essential)
  • Have excellent IT literacy, including a high proficiency on Microsoft Excel i.e. pivot tables, vlookups etc.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of the business
