The Senior Business Analyst will provide effective and insightful analysis on the assigned business areas performance and spend, including helping drive and monitor the strategy of the business via product, market and price analysis.
Robust control around the commercial accounting of the Company, including rebates and revenue recognition.

Description
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for:
Drive the development of standardised and efficient reporting across the assigned business areas including timely delivery of information and working with other functions (particularly IT)
Review, analyse and explain the monthly performance to the assigned business areas (including the relevant Director) and also to the wider Finance community.
Play a lead role in shaping and delivering the strategy of the business, including monitoring and influencing the delivery of this strategy through suitable and robust KPIs and counter measures where necessary.
Ensure suitable procedures are in place to account for rebates, revenue recognition and other commercial accruals under your control, liaising with internal and external audit as required.
Lead the Finance support in preparing the relevant elements of forecasts, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monthly and other ad hoc forecasting requirements. Put in place processes to monitor and ensure accuracy of forecast.
Support other Continuous Improvement activities across Finance and participate in cross-functional groups.
Ensure that all operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including Quality management, Health and Safety, Legal stipulations, Environmental policies and general duty of care.
Profile
- Demonstrable experience of joining disparate data systems to enable the production of meaningful reports quickly and accurately
Significant IT skills such excel visual basic experience or similar so as to be comfortable understand, question and manipulate large data sets and design and production of reports and dashboards based on stakeholder needs
High analytical skills and demonstrable experience of using these skills with high volumes of data
- Qualified Accountant
Ability to articulately communicate and complex financial issues to a non-financial audience.
Ability to build strong networks and relationships across functions
Competence in using Microsoft; outlook and word
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or similar environment (desirable)
Understanding of methods for gathering requirements from a non-financial audience
High numerical and analytical competence
Competence and confidence to build knowledge of bespoke IT systems
Understanding of data manipulation, report and dashboard design and delivery
Able to listen, consult others, use feedback constructively and communicate proactively
Able to seek and share expertise and knowledge with others
Credible and able to explain information and present arguments clearly
Able to demonstrate integrity
