Robert Half Finance are currently working with a Market Leading Property Business based in Cambridge who are recruiting for a Financial Controller.
Overview of role
Working alongside the Management team, the "hands on" Financial Controller will manage the Finance team on a day to day basis as well as taking responsibility for all aspects of financial control, performance management, reporting and analysis to support the Company in continued growth. The role will also be responsible for driving change, improving processes and leading business critical projects.
Day to day duties of Financial Controller will include but not be limited to:
- Manage all aspects of the financial planning and reporting cycles on a monthly and annual basis, providing a link between Finance and the rest of the Company
- Manage, monitor and continuously review the -
- Month end process in line with the Group timetable
- Production of the Finance Board pack
- Production of the annual business plan and ensure engagement at all levels to deliver the plan to the required timetable
- Improve the flow of finance and management information across the Company.
- Identify key risks and opportunities and manage actions as appropriate
- Co-ordinate annual salary reviews and bonus payments
- Monitoring and analysing work processes along with key stakeholders, making suggestions for improvement where necessary
- Liaison with external auditors
- Manage project costing systems where appropriate
- Manage the Finance team on a day to day basis ensuring effective performance and achievement of workloads
- Ensuring continuous professional development across the team
The ideal candidate Profile:
- Qualified Accountant - ACCA / ACA would be preferable
- Proven track record in a senior leadership role
- Credibility and drive to lead change
- Progressive, ambitious and tenacious leader.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good organisational skills, with high attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
