Head of Financial Operations Transformation, Primark

We may have the perfect job for you. Have you got proven experience in accounting and an in-depth understanding and passion for finance transformation?

Right now, we’re expanding our retail business across Northern Europe, Iberia, Ireland, Italy, the UK and the US. Which means we’re not only growing in complexity – especially when it comes to currency fluctuations, cash forecasting and risk management – but also in the need for driven, innovative people who want space to grow within an international network. Take ownership of our AP/AR teams and transform this space with new technology that will help us be best in class.

What we’re looking for

A proven Finance leader with outstanding expertise in the field of finance, as Head of Supplier and Customer Payments, we’ll also need you to have:

  • Drive and commitment. In this role you will be responsible for the overall management of the Finance Department’s accounting related operations, including managing Supplier & Customer invoicing and payments and ensuring period-end close processes and timelines are adhered to.
  • Be comfortable taking charge. We will look to you to find shape the way we do finance and to make your lasting mark on our business. That’s why you’ll have more autonomy and we’ll trust you to keep introducing better ways of working.
  • Great communication skills. It falls to you to develop new processes, inspire your team and represent Primark before all external stakeholders and organisations. So naturally you need to be able to clearly and professionally communicate at all times.
  • Strong decision-making skills. You will develop future strategies for the growth of your department and therefore it will up to you to make confident and carefully-planned out decisions.

Why work with us?

There’s the competitive salary, of course. But our team in Dublin covers many different countries, giving you the opportunity to work with colleagues from all over the world. We give our people more responsibility, and the freedom and space to grow and do things their way. And we have a huge programme of structured learning and development to help with that, covering everything from mindfulness sessions to developing your presenting skills. What’s more, you’ll also be part of a busy, friendly work environment with a gym, café, canteen, choir, book club, running club and plenty of open space to think.
