ISLAND GRILL IS SEEKING TO RECRUIT A COMPETENT AND SUITABLY QUALIFIED & EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUAL TO APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION: FINANCIAL CONTROLLER Job Summary: The Financial Controller is responsible for the finance strategy and accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and / or international financial reporting standards. Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures and ensure adherence to same Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of a structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives Performance Management and development of the Accounting Staff Ensure that accounting control systems, including account reconciliation compliance, are adequate to mitigate accounting risks Participate in the formulation of corporate strategic direction, goals and targets Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts Issue timely and complete financial statements and financial analyses using relevant financial and operating metrics Monitor and report on the Company's operating cash flow Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial information and analyses to the Executive and Board of Directors Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with debt covenants Responsible for statutory and regulatory compliance and all tax filings Qualification and Skills Needed: Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting &/or Finance ACCA or CPA Designation Ten (10) years' post-qualification experience at managerial level in an accounting department Experience in regulatory/statutory reporting required Audit experience preferred Strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills Demonstrated Leadership and People Management skills Excellent Communication and Organisational skills How to Apply: Interested applicants may submit their resume along with a cover letter Deadline: March 31st, 2017 Please be advised that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
