Client Details

My client are a well established construction company based in Loughton. They have a small finance team which will give the new accounts assistant full exposure to the accounts


The key Responsibilities for this accounts assistant role are:

  • Generate invoices as per Valuation Certificates/Input Sales invoices into SAGE Construct
    Credit control for outstanding payments
  • Match delivery/ collection notes to invoices/ Verify invoices/ Code invoices to Project
  • Input invoices onto SAGE/ Reconcile to supplier statements
  • Follow up on discrepancies with staff and suppliers /Seek invoice validation from site
    managers and senior staff
  • Monitor and reconcile Company Credit Card Purchase
  • Ensure all purchase invoices inputted into SAGE accurately to ascertain VAT element for vat
    submission (with details of any customers not under 20% VAT)
  • Prepare data for accountant showing INPUT and OUTPUT tax in time for quarterly
    submission to HMRC/ Liaise with accountant for any related queries
  • Provide accountant with monthly data via CIS s/sheets and bank payment info for
    statement submission
  • Provide copies on Ad Hoc request basis to General and weekly contractors
  • Provide statements after year end to all contractors


The successful candidate will have over 3 years of finance of experience and has experience make sub-contractor payments.
