Assistant Accountant

We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant for a well-established, reputable and innovative organisation in the Swinton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a supportive team and is offering a salary of £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience and free on-site car parking.

About The Role:
Working in a small accounts team of 3, assisting the Group Finance Manager
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Ensuring all ledgers are fully controlled and reconciled
Maintaining accurate and up to date accounts
Preparing monthly inter-company and balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing and posting month end journals
Processing prepayments and accruals analysis
Supporting in the Year-end audits
Providing monthly management reporting including KPI's, budgeting and forecasting, profit and loss
Completing national statistic forms where required
General administration duties

Essential Skills & Experience
Excellent organisational skills
Positive, adaptable and flexible approach
Able to communicate effectively at all levels
Methodical, analytical and process led
Able to multitask and work to strict deadlines
Keen eye for detail and accuracy
Strong computer skills, being advanced level on Excel - confident to produce V lookups and pivot tables
Experience of working within a similar Management Account including preparation of VAT returns and processing of month end accounts role is essential
Experience in using Sage 200 would be desirable
Any AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualifications would be desirable

Hours of work, Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Salary £25,000 - £28,000, depending on experience
