Project Accountant

Your new company and role
This Not-for-Profit Provider in based in the Inner Sydney Area and runs a wide portfolio of Health and Aged Care related services. The Accountant role is responsible for supporting the Corporate Accounting team, especially in managing projects and property developments.

What you’ll need to succeed
To thrive in this fast-paced role, you will be a hands-on CA / CPA or near qualified Accountant with considerable experience within either the Property Development or the Aged and Retirement Living Sectors.
You will already possess solid experience managing a high value fixed capital expenditure portfolio and be adept in cross-functional business partnering.
Your duties will involve the timely and accurate completion of;
• Capital expenditure Planning, Accounting and Reporting
• Project Accounting for Construction in Progress
• Reviewing the P&L, Asset Balance Sheet, Monthly Reporting and Coding.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Budgeting, Forecasting, Expense and Cashflow Analysis
• Engaging with all stakeholders in a warm and engaging manner.
You will be an independent, positive and strongly focused solution seeker. You will enjoy initiating strong coordination between the finance and facility staff and residents. You will be communicating clearly across the business, consistently in an upbeat. emotionally intelligent and culturally aware manner. You will not only strong in day-to-day operational accounting but also strong in identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes of work.
This role will require Advanced Excel skills and a strong ability to efficiently navigate multiple mid-tier Accounting Packages and other computer systems.
