A long standing accountancy practice based in the heart of Lancaster are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated accounts assistant to join their busy team. This role has become available due to increased amounts of work that clients need from the firm, the firm has experienced sustained growth for a long period of time now. This would be an excellent opportunity for you to progress your career in practice with a prestigious accountancy practice.
Your new role
As an accounts assistant you will be responsible for provide a variety of services to limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities. These services include preparing year-end accounts through to the review stage for clients under the audit threshold, bookkeeping, preparing quarterly VAT returns, management accounts and liaising with clients. Alongside this you will study for your AAT or ACCA and full study support will be provided.
What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking for an individual that firstly is bright, enthusiastic and motivated who has a strong work ethic and desire to fulfil a successful career in accounting. You will need to have worked in a practice environment previously dealing with multiple clients and should ideally be able to prepare year-end accounts to the review stage. You should be able to work to tight deadlines and display strong interpersonal and communication skills as you will need to deliver strong client service.
