Our client is a rapid growth tech business and is a market leader in their field who, as a disruptive business, have continued to shake up the industry whilst consistently generating double digit YoY growth for the last 5 years. With a multibillion turnover, but very much still a start-up mentality, this is the chance to join a high calibre finance team in their City of London office as a hybrid Management Accountant.

With a lot of large scale projects either ongoing or in the pipeline, you would be joining the business during a significant period of growth as they are poised to double their YoY revenue. This the chance to join a brilliant team, of mainly ACA backgrounds, with clear set progression.

Description

The Role

This Management Accountant will report into the Financial Reporting Manager and will be a hybrid split of 1/3 Month End P&L ownership (overseeing Costs/Overheads) and 2/3 Commercial & Business Partnering. The role will have ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering - Tech teams as well as working with other non-finance teams as a finance lead. Preparation of board packs.
  • FP&A - Budget, forecasting, analysis and commentary on P&L for non-finance teams
  • Ad Hoc Analysis - where required. Contract review, P&L analysis, scenario planning, YoY analysis and reporting
  • Month End - Posting journals. P&L ownership. Month end reporting with board pack production. This will account for 3-4 working days.
  • Project Work - tying in with ad hoc analysis there is also scope to be involved in a number of ongoing and pipelined projects as the business begins to enter a stage of hyper growth
  • Line Management - although initially just mentoring, there is scope to progress into a managerial role

  • Great Academic Record
  • Tech start-up or big company exposure desirable
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Proven background of Senior Stakeholder Management
  • Able to commute to City of London (Chancery Lane/Farringdon)
