Financial Controller

Our client is a rapidly growing SME with nationwide operations. Due to continued organic growth a need has arisen for a suitably experienced Financial Controller to join their management team. Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for the day to day management of the finance team and assist in the streamlining of the company's systems and procedures. Your main responsibilities will include: Oversee the management of the month end process Responsible for the preparation of monthly / annual management accounts including variance analysis Assist in the further development and streamlining of a newly implemented ERP system Supporting the FD in various project work to help facilitate future growth of the business Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management Provide financial analysis as required, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Involved in all year end procedures The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Ideally CIMA , ACCA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience Sound knowledge of all financial transactions, preferably within a Commercial/SME environment Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to present financial information in a clear, concise and easily understandable way Experience of foreign currency transactions Strong people management skills, enthusiastic and self-motivated Excellent IT and software skills - experience of implementing new IT systems beneficial Knowledge of financial modeling This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to refine their skills further within a successful business that have genuine prospects of career development.
