Data Scientist, Financial Platform

At GOJEK’s Financial Services Platform Team, we wake up thinking about better ways to expand access to savings, insurance, loans, and investments to all Indonesians. We build financial products with partners and deploy at scale to our hundreds of thousands of GoFood merchants, 1 million+GoRide/GoCar drivers, tens of millions of users. Data Science Team: Our team is in charge of building various predictive model that help Go-Jek drivers, merchants, and customers. We use models to predict churn, to credit score loan applicants, and pricing and adoption models. We are a growing team and quickly expand our capabilities and add more models that we support. Responsibilities

• Build, evaluate, and monitor consumer credit risk models for a variety of financial products
• Build, evaluate, and monitor consumer credit scoring models using different ML techniques
• Select features, build and optimize classifiers with machine learning techniques
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
• Data mine for important information and insights
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner and concise
• Extend company’s data with third-party information

Experience and Skills

• At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in building, evaluating, and monitoring ML risk and consumer credit scoring models for financial products
• You have proven Python, R, SQL, and Shell skills
• Good understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Experience with experimenting on different modelling techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning) and develop data visualisation for data stories
• Ability to whiteboard some theory while at the same time rolling up your sleeves and get coding
• Self-driven and entrepreneurial with a strong sense of ownership
• You have the ability to write model documentation clearly and concisely and support findings with reasonable foundations
• Good communication skills (English Speaking) and ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience
