Audit and Accounts Manager

A successful chartered accountancy practice based in Portishead is searching for an Audit and Accounts Manager to join their team. You will take on the full management and delivery of audit, accounts and planning/advisory projects for varying clients, wide ranging in size, sector and complexity, as a key addition where you will carve an influential role within a growing firm.

Based in Portishead, our client is a highly regarded and established chartered accountancy practice with a wide ranging client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited company OMBs, SMEs and corporate clients, with a range of significant sized business, groups and other clients with audit requirement. As a result of ongoing growth, along with some internal changes the business has the need to bring in the right audit professional at managerial level as a key, right hand addition where you will have the potential and opportunity to carve a successful career within a growing firm of accountants

Description

Joining as Audit and Accounts Manager you will be working with Partners and the wider team delivering and managing a range of audits for the business, alongside accounts, tax, wider ranging all around services and business planning/advisory work for smaller SMEs, family OMBs, sole traders and partnerships across varied sectors and turnovers. You will work on up to around eight or so audits across wide ranging clients, ranging in turnover from £1million to circa £30million on larger clients. Clients are wide ranging in sector, to include a group of up to six companies on the largest client. Most clients are fairly locally based with only one outside of the South West region so away time will be limiting. You will see audits through from planning to completion, willing to be hands on with field involvement, whilst having the support of around 2 - 3 people supporting you in the wider team on delivery. The role will therefore be mixed across audit/accounts, tax and wider ranging service delivery and project work for clients and you will progress in this growing firm of chartered accountants.

Profile

You will be qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, with a career background within accountancy practice, with an all around background across audit/accounts/tax for wide ranging clients, varying in industry sector and size. Your background could have been developed within any accountancy firm size environment across any of Top Tier, Mid Tier, large/medium or small independent firm size. You will have developed your career to Manager level as an Audit and Accounts Manager, Client Manager or Senior Manager.

Job Offer

Circa £40,000 - £55,000 or more dependent on the background and level of the right professional, plus benefits.
