Financial Controller

A fast growing SME based in Slough are seeking a Financial Controller to join the team to take full control over a small finance team and to provide commercial analysis across the business. This role will involve speaking with senior stakeholders on a weekly basis for them to understand how to improve the efficiency of the overall business.

Our client has seen rapid growth over the past five years and now have even bigger growth plans due to a change in strategy within last 12 months. The overall plan is to list the company in 5 years time after double digit growth year on year.

Description

As the financial controller, you will be demonstrating your leadership skills by ensuring the finance department is running smoothly. You will directly manage three people, two of which are qualified and have overall responsibilities for overseeing the month end reporting process. Alongside this your role will be to partner with all business functions to streamline their processes and to ensure the function is as profitable as it can be. You will regularly report to senior stakeholders of the organisation and be the main point of contact for finance/commercial analysis for the whole business. You will report into the Finance Director.

Profile

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, have excellent experience managing a team and can demonstrate the ability to provide commercial insight through commercial analysis to senior members of a business. You will have advanced excel skills and have the ability to pick new systems up quickly. It would be advantageous if you have an SME background, however, this is not essential.
