GSK Finance Hub in Poznan is a new Finance team and one of 3 regional GSK Finance Hubs which will be at the heart of the new GSK Finance Operating Model. In addition to driving the performance of our partner delivering all accounting transactional activities offshore, the Hub will be the home for Close and Control activities for most European markets as well as deliver more complex accounting activities such as Production Accounting.
We are migrating three new departments from London to Poznan which are responsible for providing complex reporting and accounting services to our R&D teams, thus playing a crucial and active role in the delivery of new medicines to patients around the world.

How you will contribute to our success:

• Managing a three-person team
• Ensuring timely and accurate month-end reporting
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and commentaries prepared by team members
• Tracking actual spend on R&D alliances or intangible assets vs budget
• Managing the accounting for R&D intangible assets, including additions, disposals, amortisation and impairments
• Leading the quarterly intangible assets fair value review process
• Playing a key role to set up a team and lead the receiving side of the migration activities
 

Why You?

Basic qualifications:
• Finance or accounting degree
• Min. 5 years of international experience and very good knowledge of technical accounting for alliances/partnerships/start-ups
• Experience in management of senior stakeholders
• Fluent English (min. C1)
• Excellent communication skills
• Mindset for quality and accuracy
• Willingness and availability to take part in the migration process
• The manager is expected to work sometimes with partners from the US what will affect the working hours

 

Preferred qualifications:
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent
• Experience in people management
• Experience in the biotechnological or pharmaceutical industry
