Accountemps is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team for a short–term temporary–to–full–time opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities – Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors – Take part in various department–wide initiatives – Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners – Put together monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting – Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts – Other projects as necessary – Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) – Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP – Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
– 10+ years of overall general accounting experience – QuickBooks experience – Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis – BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired – Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers – Highly organized and self–motivated – Self–starter and strong ethical standards – A level of proficiency in financial reporting is preferential to this role – Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required – Ability to meet deadlines – ERP system experience – Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports – Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus – SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
