Whitlock is looking for a high performing ERP Business Analyst to join an exciting growing company. The ERP Business Analyst will primarily support our service management organization but will also have work in sales, financials, and inventory applications.? The business analyst is responsible for full system life cycle support of our service management platform (VSM) starting with the initial implementation including requirements gathering, system analysis, testing, production support, and documentation. The business analyst works directly with business process owners, system end–users, developers and other technical team members for a given requirement or process. This includes taking part in the process design, proposing a solution, soliciting feedback and creating necessary supporting documentation associated with any enhancement or system change. This person will also need to in multiple modules supporting the Whitlock ERP environment.

Key Service Management Implementation Responsibilities
During implementation of the VSM service management system, the business analyst is responsible for:
  • Implementation of the service management system, working as a key liaison between the vendor professional services teams, the business unit representatives, and IT
  • Gather requirements, understand how requirements fit into VSM system, propose solutions, and work with IT and vendor to implement desired functionality; ensure changes support productivity improvements and enforce corporate policies and procedures
  • Management of the system configuration, user acceptance testing and training for business users
Key Ongoing Responsibilities
After completion of the VSM implementation, the business analyst will be responsible for:
  • Providing front line support with regards to all functional aspects of VSM application and data maintenance
  • Planning, reviewing and customizing VSM as needed to meet business needs
  • Monitoring end–user usage of systems, tracking performance, performing daily administrative and support tasks and maintain system documentation
  • Full life cycle methodology support for customizations, custom objects, new enhancements, application releases and system integration based on user/business needs
  • Developing, documenting and following formal policies, procedures and protocols for changes, customization, standards, usage, etc.
  • Manage communication to customers on assigned tickets, track issues, ensure their timely resolution, and manage expectations
  • Provides off–hours support as needed, including participating in the team on–call rotation
Business Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • 2+ years in Business Analyst role with preference of work in ERP systems
  • General understanding of service management systems, platforms, and business processes
  • General understanding of common industry standard business practices as related to Accounting (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing); Sales Force Management (Opportunity, Proposal, Sales Orders, Forecasting, Territory Management and Quotas); Inventory Management (Purchasing and Fulfilment); and Support (Case Management), Project Management
  • Exposure to other Accounting, Sales Force Management and Marketing business practices such as Payroll, Expense Tracking, Multi–currency and Commissions, Returns, Team Selling, Net or Ecommerce, Shopping carts and Website Layout
  • Experience with software in a ?Software as a Service? (SaaS) environment
  • Experience with service management, financial accounting, customer management and sales force automation software
  • Four–year college degree in relevant discipline (MIS, IT business/computer science)
  • System implementation and system integration experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to work creatively in problem solving environment
  • Ability to balance technical skills with business savvy ? ability to transform end–user needs into functional and systematic requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to form relationships both externally and internally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
