Applied Industrial Technologies is currently looking to partner with an experienced?Financial Analyst?who will play a key support role in management decision making by providing meaningful business analysis and reporting for the Oil & Gas subsidiaries. The Financial Analyst will leverage strong analytical skills, detail–orientation and healthy curiosity to support critical management decisions within the?oil & gas business units.

Job Duties:
  • Gathers, organizes and reports financial information taking into account the company?s goals and financial standing
  • Prepares financial reports with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategies.? Based on the analysis, makes recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance to management
  • Prepares forecast models inclusive of proforma revenue and/or expense changes
  • Interfaces with Applied corporate accounting, internal audit and other parties; preparing schedules and deliverables as required, answering questions
  • Supports the month–end process by compiling and preparing management reports of key metrics
  • Drives the budget process; accumulating budget information and preparing it for review.? Compares and analyzes actual results against budget during the year
  • Drive process improvement within the scope of the position
  • 4–year bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance to include modeling or forecasting analysis
  • Experience with at least one company that has revenue in excess of $10 million per year
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Competent with MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables, vlookup
  • Effective communications (written, verbal, proper English grammar) with peers, directors, executive management and vendors.
  • Detailed oriented and ability to effectively apply time management skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a multi–project environment.
  • Experience with multi–site businesses,?preferred
  • Experience with inventory–intense business models, preferred
  • SAP / ERP experience?a plus
