The Head of Finance Systems & Strategy Group is responsible for driving functional and data strategy to inform the financial systems roadmap. S/he will be a transformative people and operations leader who will ensure prioritization of investments, optimization of existing systems and creation of a master data strategy. This person would lead a team of five direct reports and would partner with multiple stakeholder groups across Finance, IT and other functional teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Overall responsibility of the FSSG organization and manage a budget of $1M
  • Define & effectively communicate FSSG strategy and operating model and partner with key stakeholders across Finance, IT and other functional teams
  • Evangelize and effectively socialize the FSSG strategy across the organization
  • Responsible for coordination of the Corporate Finance Systems LRP and budgets
  • Partner with NBCU?s CFO, IT Leads & Functional Leaders, taking into consideration business needs, external compliance requirements and historical investment trends
  • Develop a Finance Data Strategy in support of future finance requirements and in alignment with strategic business and enterprise changes submitted by the respective Functional Leads
  • Develop strategic roadmaps to rationalize the number of finance sub–systems and work in close partnership with the system owners and IT colleagues
  • Establish a robust and efficient governance process to align FSSG priorities based on corporate and business unit strategy & imperatives, including the ongoing review of spend across finance systems
  • Review & provide feedback on initial request prioritization & sequencing performed by the FSSG Functional Leads, IT & Business Unit representatives
  • Oversee executive decision making/approvals on major projects
  • Management Committee Chair of mid–range projects, with responsibility for review & approval of smaller value projects
  • Direct, institute and drive strong problem–solving capabilities within the team and processes?to resolve project issues effectively
  • Key stakeholder on governance, strategy, portfolio management and change management
  • Review the KPIs that measure project ROI & qualitative business value realization
? Minimum 10 years? experience managing/implementing complex financial accounting systems and projects with demonstrated program and change management capabilities, ideally with an ERP environment
? 3 years? experience in leading and managing a team within a large and complex multi–national, matrixed organization that inspires high performance
