Compensation: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year

We are on the look out for a talented Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, month–end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, and payroll. The Full Charge Bookkeeper might also be allowed to lead the clerical staff. If you thrive with minimal supervision under tight deadlines, you might be the accounting professional we're searching for this Bookkeeper role. This full–time employment opportunity is based in the Great Neck, New York area. What you get to do every single day – Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments – Business license and gross receipts reporting – Develop monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents – Index budget transfers – Conduct monthly accounting close – Produce cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc. – Produce subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year–end requirement – Manage Accounts Payable – Accomplished in credit card management and reconciliation – Supplementary assignments when necessary – Direct Accounts Receivable – Formulate cash flow projections, as needed
– Excellent organizational and multitasking skills – Notable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred – Ability to meet deadlines – Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities – Excellent oral and written communications skills – Proficiency in accounts receivable – Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation – Accounts payable experience required – Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills – 5+ years of related experience– Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment – Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement – BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business–related field preferred
